    Reality is the president doesn’t, or more accurately, shouldn’t control the economy.

    …Perhaps utterly worshipping one man was not the best idea? As history has repeatedly shown?

      Oh boy, history repeatedly shows how everything goes south.

      This mantra of individual responsibility is getting the US nowhere. Billionaires learned how to work collectively while one half of Americans blamed the other half for the problems the billionaires invented. Get your shit together and stop blaming your neighbor

        I meant indviduals more than individualism.

        This feels like religious worship, or influencer worship, to me. At least for some people I’ve observed.

          What do you think happens when a candidate receives enormous financial support and is somewhat charismatic? It’s not these people who complain about the groceries to blame.
