I’d like to rely less on my phone so that I don’t do the ritual where as soon as I wake up I’m doomscrooling on my phone, do you know of any cool, minimalist but with some features alarm clock out there?

As an inspiration this is a web site I like I’d love if it’d introduce an alarm clock because of its aesthetics and philosophy:

Just put your phone on your dresser instead of by your bed.

You could always write one, it’s a trivial program.

If it’s for waking up at a scheduled time, why not go with a dedicated alarm clock that only needs a wall plug and maybe a backup battery?

what device are you connecting to an online alarm clock that doesn’t have one built in?

why more than double the things that could go wrong by requiring an internet connection, router, etc in addition to your non-phone device?

You could instead deactivate Wifi/Cellular on your phone to remind you not to doomscroll in bed. Cheapest solution I guess.

Possibly even use Tasker or such to automate waking up to an isolated phone.

Or any of the countless “digital health”/screen time management apps, to block social media in the mornings. (?)

Datetime.app is a self-hostable web page with a bunch of time-related tools. I don’t think it has an alarm clock so it won’t help you with this need, but i mention it in case you have other date/time tool needs.

Even though it’s not what I was asking for, it’s been the best response in the thread, it seems like a really cool web site. Thanks!

I would just use an old phone, either yours or maybe from your family. A dedicated alarm clock that stays at home and is always charged. It has only one job: alarming. No need to make yourself dependent on a random online website. This can be done offline.
