    No, it sparked bad faith fear mongering claims, but those didn’t actually fool anyone.

    “All of us vital businesspeople are gonna leave and then you’ll be sorry!” just sounds better than “Those of us who make more than two million dollars don’t want a two-percent income tax increase!” It was obvious hyperbole but it does make me chuckle now 😄

    That claim is so goofy. There’s too much money to be made in NYC, even with higher taxes. Furthermore, three city is a cultural center that they absolutely want to be a part of.
