    If this were to pass the Wisconsin Senate, would the outcry from the commercial space alone not reverse this? (I’m a privacy advocate, just curious)

      No: They clearly do not have even a basic understanding. If they did, they’d realize they’re fucking themselves up along with the business models that make them money.

      Nobody who has even a rudimentary grasp would ever think this was a smart move. They would also realize that such a ban would be trivial to circumvent.

        trivial for technical users. they always come for the technical users later.

        and no they don’t care about the vpn companies or their money. they care about control and censorship.

        congresspeople are getting paid for that opinion, someone powerful wants this.

    I’m surprised they want to ban it on the sites’ side, and not make it illegal to use VPN in those states
