You know, one question I have is this: Let’s say they release all the Epstein Files tomorrow. What exactly would change? Is it some kind of switch that causes a group of armed men to drag Trump out of the White House into a paddy wagon? Do we really expect the Democrats to actually do anything with that information? From what I’ve seen, they have just as many darlings to protect as the Republicans do.
Nothing will change. A lot of folks expect his base to crumble away but in all honesty, those who want them will claim they’re fake, or not the whole story. Or they won’t look at them themselves and just go through some talking head who will lie to them and they’ll take it as fact
If his base has to double down on protecting pedophiles it makes it pretty clear who needs to be targeted to stop this fascist.
How will they celebrate? By giving everyone a $2,000 check from the government? Lol
So we will stop all the oil/farm subsidies, and all social security payments are done. Fun, lets see how that works out.
Even these dorks know that those subsidies do not constitute socialism. They know what bringing socialism to America would really mean; that’s why they fear it.
They are by design socialist constructs. How does the people paying for things to support the people mean its not socialism??
They’re not socialist constructs because we do not have a socialist government. They are capitalist instruments. Oil and farm subsidies, as well as all other forms of corporate subsidies, are used to enrich the businesses they are subsidizing, not the people who work for the businesses. Like when the chip firms got their kickbacks and used it for stock buybacks. Carbon credits are another example of a government subsidy that is used to prop up and enrich corporations while simultaneously not encouraging decarbonization efforts. The agriculture industry isn’t using those subsidies to pay workers a living wage. Most of those subsidies are in the form of crop insurance, and crop insurance isn’t even means tested. That’s how you end up with people like Bill Gates potentially getting crop insurance payouts from the government.
We live in a capitalist society; everything is for the capitalist; the government serves capital. That’s why these subsidies are not going away any time soon, and why it’s not “socialism”, It’s just capitalism.
Because the other times we declared war on concepts rather than countries, that worked out super well.

My company keeps me in a dorm like a soviet, and I have to pay for the privilege. $400 a month to have a stinky roommate in a 15x15 box. Why am I treated with such distain?
Company housing? Sounds a lot more like capitalism to me. Something capitalism has historically done across all capitalist countries. Some real gilded-age 1880’s shit.
Nowadays that’s no longer on the table of “allowed critiques of socialist regimes”. Now you have to go by stuff like:
- Social engineering.
- Modern culture war bullshit somehow shoehorned into that period.
- Culture war urban legends like a Hungarian football reporter being forced to refer to a player “the white sock player” instead of “the black player” (football players have numbers on them for easy identification).
- Giving people welfare instead of work (most of the Soviet Bloc had mandatory work).
- Not having a strongman leader like Donald Trump or Viktor Orbán, because these morons think it’s called that because it’s a good thing.
- Claiming crime was rampant due to “lack of arrest quotas” (some states had arrest quotas, and regularly ended with tragedies).
- Inventing some fake famines, because people need to claim communism = famine. This lead to people claiming Hungarians not eating beef like Americans is due to a famine. Hell, they even call banana shortages “famines”, just to hammer this talking point home.
