She said that she understands that many workers were desperate for a paycheck. But she thought standing firm on the issue of the health care subsidies was worth her sacrifice.
“There are other federal workers who understood what we were holding the line for and are extremely unhappy that line was crossed and that trust was breached,” she said.

They went 40+ days without a paycheck, many were required to work regardless of that fact and so were unable to get side gigs. You are either a troll or one of the morons you speak of.
I imagine the previous poster’s point is that the federal workers might be victims, but they couldn’t make a sacrifice becuase sacrifice is a willing choice one makes. The workers may have suffered, but they didn’t make any sacrifice here becuase it wasn’t their choice.
