      More fringe kingmakers can be rather dangerous.

      I guess Iceland, Norway and Denmark are extremist countries now.

      The fringe king maker is the already the president of the United States under first-past-the-post.

      Ranked ballots would be better.

      Nope, the alternative vote funnels the votes to the 2 big parties creating the illusion of choice.

      The single transferable vote is what you want. It’s ranked and proportional.

    Proportional has some cons as well. Weaker governments and more coalitions.
    If you consider compromises a con that is.

      Nope, governments actually last a little bit longer under proportional representation and what’s wrong coalitions when the most popular party often does not win a majority of the votes. You do have the right to force your policy down everyone’s throats with 39% of the vote.

    More people don’t necessarily get more done. Try to keep a Parlament well below 1000 people. Otherwise this checks out.
