Choline, choline, choline, CHOLINE
I’m begging of you, please don’t take my man
Paging Dr Parton
Everyone misreading that title: “So drink pool water, got it.”
Eat more chlorine. Got it.
Edit: just noticed you said chlorine 🤦🏼♀️
“We don’t know yet if increasing choline in the diet will help reduce anxiety. More research will be needed,” Maddock said. He cautions that people with anxiety should not self-medicate with excessive choline supplements.
But he notes a healthy diet is essential for all aspects of health, including mental health.

Here I am, eating mostly chicken, and still riddled with anxiety.
Maybe I should eat just chicken 24/7…
RFK decrees pool tablets safe and effective dietary supplement
They found the level of choline—an essential nutrient—was about 8% lower in those with anxiety disorders. The evidence for low choline was especially consistent in the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain that helps control thinking, emotions and behavior.
If it’s just an 8% difference on average it’s probably some regulatory disfunction rather than a lack of choline in the diet.
8% in the brain, not the total body.
Maybe it matters during development? I’ve tried supplementing all sorts of nootropics with little success, including many forms of choline, and it did little to curb my anxiety. YMMV.
