Ah yes… the same Brian Daboll who let Saquan walk. Schoen should have been rolled with Daboll.

Saquan should have been kept, but Skattebo is much more entertaining to watch. I wish AZ had grabbed him instead

That’s debatable. I also question his longevity if he plans on running as aggressively as he did prior to his injury. I worry about Dart as well due to his proclivity to play hero ball. Can’t help your team when you’re on the sideline. Hopefully they both learn how to strike a balance as they mature.

Yeah… Dart and Scattebo been running like concussions aren’t a thing. A bright spot at QB though, and he’s playing well for a rookie QB.

Quon was definitely a wiff of his, but he did draft pretty well over the past few seasons. As an eagles fan, I can think of a time people were openly mocking Howie’s moves (skipping over JJ, woof) but he figured it out and improved. I can see why they’re willing to give him some more leash.

Why do more teams fire their coaches mid-season now? Are they hoping to turn it around and get in the playoffs or is it just about sending a message?

It’s a way for GMs to buy time. If you limp to the end of the season, it’s easier to fire both coach and GM. Bad GMs hope the chaos of interm coaching and coaching search buys them one more hire to ride out.
