Big streamers are placing more focus on aggressive “pause ads” that pop on screen after a viewer calls for a halt in the action.

Yeah fuck channel 4 (UK) for doing this. I can no longer scan to where I want to be in a program because if it’s not playing then they show a static ad, and if you go over and add break it will play 3 mins of ads, even if you just say through 3 mins by scanning over the last ad break.

    Completely unusable cancer UX

Apparently piracy has broken their revenues so badly that they’re pushing us to more piracy. Hold up.

I cannot believe anyone pays for this shit. I’m middle-aged, don’t know a lot of people, but I can’t think of hearing anyone IRL talk about paying for a streaming service. I have Amazon, but that’s only because I pay for Prime. (I’m on the bleeding edge of a small town, shit cars, need delivery.) Had Prime tied into my last Kodi box, pirated the content anyway.

Great story! Sometime around 15-years ago my ex-wife was talking to a stranger in line at Walmart. “You know aXXo! Isn’t he the best! We don’t pay for movies either.” I suppose now it’s YIFY now. :)

Nothing “new” that these huge streaming platforms pump out is worth it anyways. All they are doing is making bank milking the old library of shows and movies that they licensed.

Don’t be a sucker that pays for the old with a subscription. Just 🏴‍☠️ it and watch as much as you want.
