Millenial, myself: I had extended family that had sunken living rooms (and one great aunt who had a bitchin’ split-level home). I still think those are super nice, and I build them into my Sims homes (the only home I’ll ever own 😭).
Maybe you shouls start considering the fact that you drink too much.

Lead is too expensive to mine nowadays. They use artificial lead made with micro plastics.
My ex father in law built a cabin in northern Alberta with a very cozy sunken couch/seating area around the wood stove. Always wanted something like that. They weren’t swingers, though he did carve the most beautiful boob book ends. He was a wonderful guy.
