If the Google Phone app’s speakerphone toggle has seemed buggy lately, you’re not alone. Pixel 9 owners have been reporting problems with the button for the past few months, and now the issue appears to be affecting Pixel 10 devices as well. Unfortunately, it appears that Google has no intention of taking action.
If you don’t have GrapheneOS, why geht a Pixel in the first place?
In practice they’re cheap. I saw the Pixel 9 on sale for under $400 before the 9a was even released.
MSRP is an absolute joke, but most people either get it for much cheaper than that, or think they’re getting it for much cheaper through obfuscated costs with carrier deals.
Also, brand reputations tend to outlive reality by a decade or more, so people still think Pixels have great software and Samsung is bloated as hell. The reality is that Samsung and Google have met in the middle.
I can’t fucking wait for a non-Pixel GrapheneOS phone. So tired of Google’s shit.
There are creatures out there that proudly call themselves “Google fans” that want to add as much Google to their lives as they can. I will never understand why, but they exist.
Battery issues, overheating, green screens, pink lines, dying modems, a lot of bugs and now that. Truly amazing quality control for the Pixel series.
Dying modems? My cell service sometimes seems unreachable, good to know
Why do I remember seeing this headline for Pixels 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 as well?
Because they did the same shit. Pixel xl2 was my last pixel, fingerprint reader went out. Then the power button stopped working, battery drain is atrocious and the speaker is weak as shit. Google doesn’t give a fuck about it’s phones after any warranty is up. Mine wasn’t even 2 years old when this shit started happening. Still rocking a note10+ now. No more google shit for me.
Ugh… way back in the day I had a Pixel 3 XL and it had this weird obscure bug that basically affected how I had to use the phone. Searched for help desperately only to eventually stumble across a post where they call this a feature and not a bug.
I guess the only solution is buying the pixel 11.
