Pays all that, and still gets denied doctor recommended procedures.
Oh and don’t forget astronomical copayments!
You guys are getting copays? I pay 100% out of pocket until I hit a $4.2k deductible.
We are in the middle of open enrollment right now, and I can assure you this is 100% correct. I can only imagine how long HR has been preparing to tell us how fucked we were. The talking points were basically, yeah, we know it’s bad. It’s bad everywhere, sorry, but this is the reality, and it’s not our fault. OK, here’s your new plans. They are all significantly higher, and you get way less, but oh, our dental is now the same as healthcare isn’t that nice? Oh, we’re also surcharging you $250 a month if your spouse has a job but doesn’t take insurance… whatnot? Cool, I went from $400 a month to $1100 for less insurance. I’m so happy I got that 3% raise, which was the first raise in 3 years, and they told me how special it is that I even got this because nobody else did. I’m so glad that’s now gonna offset that $1100 by about $100! Im winning over here! I’m so glad America is great again, everyone.
So the total per year isn’t 27k, but that’s because the company contributes like $1500 a month for me, so add both up and multiply, and it’s right around 27k. I also love how they want us to know really bad just how much they are helping us. Please, if you could get away with taking it away, you would.
