as someone who has a VERY hard time in social situations in general, phone is my best time. I don’t have to look at anyone, and I can somewhat ‘read’ your emotions or if I’m being too weird. in text, I’m clueless. in person, I clam up because I get shy. phone is the perfect in-between.

I’m for sure from the talking on hours on the phone in bed generation. I miss being young, such a rough time lately.

Relatable. I still have some phone numbers memorized from dialing them so often. I miss those evenings spent on the phone after school talking or making plans.

I had to ask my mother to please text before calling because if I miss her call, I get anxious (and she is awful and picking up returned calls). So now I will just get a texts from her that says “can I call u”. And no mom, that is not any less anxiety inducing.

Gives the vibes of someone messaging “hey” at work on a Friday at the end of day. Freaking tell me what the issue is already.

I find it completely weird how some people prefer texting back and forth for five minutes when you can get it done in less than a minute with a call. It so tedious and raises my anxiety having to wait on a answer when they could just say a sentence and be done with it. I put the don’t ever call just text me crowd right up there with the public speaker call crowd as causing the most stress.
