Brit here. I’m surprised the map says “fall” for the UK because I don’t think I’ve ever heard a Brit say “fall” for autumn. I think “fall” is just an American thing, not a British thing. Cool map anyway.
I just realized I can now “read” the writing systems of all European languages (if you don’t count hebrew as European which I don’t), neat
As for autumn it’s been rainy/snowy but otherwise quite nice here.
Great pictures, thanks for sharing
In Deutschland right now. Seem to be alternating between 12 degrees and rainy and 20 degrees with sun. Going to take all the sun I can get with no complaints.
Same in The Netherlands unsurprisingly
In Dutch we both use ‘herfst’ and ‘najaar’ which translates to ‘after year’. Which is a bit weird because the first part of the najaar is also called the nazomer which translates to ‘after summer’. My guess would be that back in the day the year ended after the harvest (could be similar roots as herfst?) instead in the middle of winter.
When I first moved here in 1991 and started learning Dutch I was soooooo confused. How can there be more than four seasons!?
Here in Catalunya it’s an alternate between quite sunny days and more cloudy (like today). Next week should still be maximum 24-25 degrees (15-16 at night), so not too bad.
Freezing! We (England) seem to have skipped autumn entirely.
Sorry to hear, good luck!
Summer hot yesterday, 14 C today…

The begging was hot, and only today we had a drop down at 21C cloudy, but no rain. I was expecting warm morning with cold evenings, and Leafs to fall down. Climate changes tho…
Really hot at first, then the temperatures suddenly dropped. It was like someone out there just remembered the season 😁
