        New release of 10 so a bunch of carriers are doing that $800 off thing. That’s equal to the non pro version, but you get locked into a carrier (and pay tax, boo). Jokes on them, though, since we live in a monopoly area I can’t switch even if I wanted to. Bonus, I can probably do a custom os since pixel is usually more compatible.

        Edit: finally got a chance to check, all carriers lock it, including this one. Supposedly you can request an unlock once it’s paid off, though (and one report said it was automatic at least with T-Mobile) as it’s not manufacturer locked and just network locked (e.g. greyed option in dev menu). That seems fair for a subsidised phone that’s locked for two years.
