I want a phone as thick as the camera bump. I don’t even care if they make use of the extra space, but if you’re going to sell a flat rectangle at least make the flat rectangle flat.
Actually, I’m on my second flip phone and I’m not sure i can go back to the regular rectangle anymore, i love these things.
I want a camera bump as thick as the phone, none. It is the least used feature of any phone I had except for scanning QR Codes.
Thinner a phone, more expensive and less battery autonomy, because also a thinner battery. A somewhat thicker phone with similar sys specs is always cheaper, for the other you pay for fashion and hype.
I really don’t understand the obsession with making the phone ever thinner. I completely agree it should be as thick as the thickest component all the way through, and you can always just use that space to make a bigger battery.
this is our thinnest phone ever!
also because of how thin it is the battery is dogshit. don’t worry we sell an accessory to increase it! it costs 100$ and makes the phone 3x as thick 🙂
Still waiting for a phone company to put a proper mechanical retractable lens like on those old point and shoots. Those took potato pictures mostly because they were limited by the sensor, imagine a modern phone camera sensor with a proper lens system in front of it. Oh, and a proper gas discharge flash instead of a dinky LED.
There are some phones with pretty clever zoom systems. But they lay sideways and the vie angle gets reflected 90 degrees by asmall prism.
Or do you mean retractable to enable a larger sensor?
Also: gas discharge flashes would drain the battery so so quick unfortunately. But yeah i wish i could at least connect a larger flash to me phone that would be triggered by the phone.
finally a smartphone you can shoulder to your ear like an old wired phone handset without worry of it slipping and losing a short battle with gravity.
