This is unfortunate but it is also not a significant event. It will change nothing. The west thinks thinks every nation is like them. Yemenis are not lead down the path by their president the way liberal nations drag their citizens by the nose ring.

The west thinks that the next people in line will backstab each other to get the top job thus weakening the government as a whole. There will be no scramble for power. “President of Yemen” isn’t a position you can reach by fighting Yemenis, you reach that position by fighting the great satan’s imperialism. The self interested politicians of the west cannot conceive that people would do things for the good of the people instead of doing everything to benefit themselves.
