    Not sure if this was meant as a joke or not, but this is a fundamental misunderstanding of what the term “ego death” means. Ego death roughly refers to a state of being in which you recognize there really is no difference between you and the people around you and in your world. Definitions vary a little from that on a person to person basis, but afaik ego death is unrelated to the the version of ego that is a synonym for arrogance

      Isn’t that just Sonder? I was under the impression that ego death mean the complete disolution of ones ego, the ego being kind of like the cell membrane between your self and the rest of the universe such that the difference between self and not-self dissapears entierly. Afaik its usually associated with psychadelics and no one could be in such a state permamently and still function.
