To keep the tears away, I will take this image as canon that they willingly did a fusion dance and took down Frieza.

Side note: it has been forever since I have watched DBZ so I forget who they fought when they fused. Feel free to correct me in the replies.

Uhhh not an expert but I’ll try to offer the correction you asked for. Fusion wasn’t a thing until after frieza, probably buu? I think it was buu.

            Fullmetal Alchemist.

It’s really NSFL. If you are the kind of person that really likes Black Mirror, it may be adequate, but I can’t really recommend it to anybody.

Hmm. I don’t care for black mirror beyond the first season or so. Then it just got into shock and awe. What does… NSFL mean?

Update: never mind. Found it. Wtf.

There are plenty of far more NSFL anime out there. I honestly hadn’t even considered that FMA might be too much for some people.

The show itself is great. Especially Brotherhood, the remake/reboot that follows the manga plot instead of veering off into an original plot like the orginal anime did when it caught up to the manga.

This is one of the more disturbing parts of it. There’s a decent bit of fucked up in it, but most of it is abstract, like entire civilazations dying in the past. Wars. Government corruption. This is probably the most “personal” fucked up thing, besides the starting point of everything being the main characters trying to bring back their dead mother.

              What the dog doin?

There’s a state funded researcher doing research on chimeras, merging two different living things. The main characters get to know him, his daughter, and their dog as they use his library for research. In the background of this, the chimera researcher is about to lose his funding as he hasn’t made any breakthroughs. The chimera researcher tries merging his daughter and their dog. The main characters have a break down when they realize there’s no way to reverse it, and it’s the start of some serious character growth.

Beyond the other suggestions, one I watched in high school that still makes me go “what the fuck”, and I would never reccomend: Elfen Lied

It reminds me of the type of “plot” you’d expect from a hentai series while being hentai-wise softcore. Just full frontal female nudity. Weird, gratuitous, and just… bad.

Opening episode is a nude young woman slaughtering her way out of a science lab using some extreme telekinesis. Tearing people in half, using bodies as meatshields. Blood everywhere.

Escapes, gets amnesia/split personality (apologies for the probably poor wording, but the show handles it with even less care) that puts her at the level of maybe 6 years old if that, and the MC boy starts “raising” her while perving on her. There’s a few sexual assaults, eugenicist scientists wanting to forcibly turn her into the broodmother of the next step in humanity, and an out of nowhere “MC boy’s cousin wants him to bone her” subplot. There’s another science experiment “nude girl” that literally loses her limb privileges whenever she doesn’t do as the scientists want.

Lots of nude young women, lots of violence. Very obviously a showcase for all the author’s fucked up fetishes, but I guess he didn’t have the balls to make full on hentai. I only watched it the one time nearly 20 years ago and I remember that I only finished it because of the “trainwreck” aspect. It was not a good show but I couldn’t look away.

I just finished a rewatch of FMA:B and totally forgot that at the end, Ed sincerely talks with Truth about how being “just a human” isn’t a big deal, because even with alchemy, he couldn’t save a little girl. What happened to Nina was basically a seminal moment in Ed and Al’s life that drove them to change into who they became. I oscillate between sadness and horror about the whole ordeal. Oh, also, good meme.

They’re characters from the anime Fullmetal Alchemist. I won’t get into it because it’s quite gross but the girl’s father was working on “chimera” research, and wasn’t too shy about who was the research subject.

It’s an incredibly disturbing part of the anime, and the joke here is about how messed up it is.

Don’t know why the other guy is talking like it’s too disgusting to even mention, but: He merged them and the result is a semi-conscious mess doomed to suffer for the rest of its life
