In a blog post published on Friday, the company explains that, as a small team, it doesn't have the resources to make the substantial technical changes this type of law would require, and it raised concerns about the law's broad scope and privacy implications.

I really like the idea of companies blocking service rather than complying with this age verification bullshit.

But it’s sad because places like bluesky might be the only viable alternative to places like X, not controlled by Musk propaganda.

you can only help people so much. at some point, they need to help themselves.

smart people will move. idiots will stay. and ignorant innocents will stay and suffer for it, but the important thing to remember is whose fault it really is

It’s not explicitly controlled. Still a dumpsterfire. They’ve got accounts spewing vitriol at anyone trying to seek a better future. People posing as left-leaning but also tearing down other figures on the left and slandering anyone who supports them.

Because cryptoscams are much different? You’ll have Jay Graber propaganda, already defending Billionaries, genociding Palestinians & Indigenous accounts, all the while giving voices to war criminals.

Stop the bs, BlueSky’s protocol requires tracking.

The link you labeled tracking talks about UK age verification. I don’t see anything about protocol tracking requirements.
