I remember one time years ago, there was an NES mashup type flash game, where you could choose a main character from one title and play a different NES title. Samus in the Super Mario world was OP.
If doable with a controller, that would kick ass, and I’d try again!
You might be thinking of Super Mario Bros. Crossover, although that only goes in one direction: you can choose from a bunch of characters, but you’re always playing Super Mario Bros.
That looks like it, yeah. Wasn’t super sure about the details, but only playing the game with different characters makes sense.
That sounds awesome. Reminds me of M.U.G.E.N. , which is a fighting game that has a huge variety of modded characters. It is basically a meme game at this point.
