Not a fanboy, but an iPhone user.
I’m very happy with the efforts to get Android phones to work without Google, but I don’t think it works well enough without Google services yet.
To me, Apple is the lesser of two evils.
I also like how the iPhone’s Live Photos work. I haven’t checked in a while. Maybe Android works the same now.
Maps was holding me back, but Organic Maps is good enough now.
Can confirm. My SO is an IPhone user, because on every single Android they tried (multiple Samsungs, Pixel, some smaller manufacturer) Bluetooth suddenly refused to work with their Blood Sugar sensing hardware after a few months.
One of the reasons I want stock Linux phones, so we can mainline that shit.
can’t wait for the year of mobile linux
I got an Iphone 16e from work, and then also checked the normal iphone 16, both of those devices are above 700€ and doesn’t support high refresh rate, which my 230€ android (now 180€) does, along with a lot other useful features, I felt very disappointed from the price/features performance that it had.
Do you guys actually pay full price for your android phones?
With my cell plan (Canada) I pay $15/month for 2 years then I own the phone. That’s $360CAD for my current iPhone 15 (which was the newest model when I got it), which I will use for like 6 years before doing it again.
It’s the same deal for android phones
