    Me:

Friend: Try bacon on jam on toast

    Me: That sound awful

    Friend: it’s delicious

    Me: ok I try

    Me tries

    Friend: Was it any good?

    Me: it was… ok

Friend: too bad I imagined it would be great

    Me: what you never tasted?

    Ex-friend: no

A former coworker on night shift was a former manager at MacDonald’s, she claimed that putting the grape jelly on a sausage biscuit was amazing.

I stop by McDonald’s on my way home and try it. Once I finished the sausage biscuit with grape jelly I conclude that she was high when she came up with that because it was awful.

The following night she asks if I tried it and I tell her I did and thought it was awful, she replied “eh, I guess you’ve got to be stoned to enjoy it”.

If you see a news article saying “X Sensational Thing has become a trend”, odds are is a gross exaggeration to the point of complete fabrication, and you fell for it.

Sriracha isn’t exactly sour but it pairs really well with other sweet stuff.

One of my favourite snacks is some sour jam (lemon, berries, rhubarb, etc) with a healthy dollop of sriracha on bread.

The mix between fruits and garlic kinda feel like Durian if it had no smell.

I actually think this might work with some kinds of mustard. But definitely not with 'Murican mustard, as that’s vile no matter what.

I agree, putting salt on watermelon is a big thing in the south. I think using a flavorful mustard wouldn’t be much different than using a salad dressing.

        Salt on watermelon is delicious!

Last year, a friend made me a watermelon salad that was basically just watermelon with balsamic vinegar and some mixed greens, and it was fantastic.

It seems slightly logical if you think about it hard enough. I’ve had salt on watermelon before, and I’ve heard of people pickling watermelon but I haven’t had it myself.

Salt & vinegar are common mustard ingredients, so, maybe? But it still seems gross on my initial assessment without tasting it.
