    don’t create a European Silicon Valley. look at what’s happened here and understand that letting finance drive tech is a mistake

    In my opinion, the only way to protect our European values is to ban all American technology in Europe within five years, not only for consumers but also for government authorities and companies.

    Okay, but it doesn’t seem like the EU will have the pacing or the drive to apply this. There has been serious backlash over Dutch government agencies switching to US tech, but the orders have been put in and they’re not rolling them back.

    A major reason Chinese and American and Russian companies outperform European ones is they have larger populations using the same policy and laws. This allows cheaper rollout of new platforms and technology, and an unfair advantage against smaller countries.

    It’s more expensive for any small country to have native start ups
