I know this isn’t really relevant but how the hell do kids these days look so much older than they are. I would have guessed she might be 16 honestly.

    Anyways, what a tradgedy.

Because kids these days are starting puberty in primary school (8/10 years old for girls, 9/11 years for boys).

I had to read the headline a few times, before realizing they want to do what my brain refused to read.

That area looks like a hellscape:

Jesus. It is only safe to cross a single 3m lane at a time and this is 6 lanes wide!!!
The risk grows exponentially so instead of being 6x as dangerous, it is closer to 64x more dangerous

There should be no place even close to residential areas that have more than 1 or 2 lanes for cars. Anything more is a highway, and those should be only to connect cities, not to go shopping.

The way cities are built, we overuse “arterial roads” and put them everywhere. Such terrible design, which is why people get killed far too often.

I do not want to be near that hellscape when the sun is out.

More lanes means more cars, which means more safety! Duh!!

We need to protect kids by making sure they dont do dangerous things like walk. If we build the proper infraastructure, this poor child could have been protected inside an SUV, instead of being forced to use two legs.

I hear someone died on a train once and they want to make even longer trains! Unbelievable.

The risk of dying on a train doesn’t increase based on the length, but crossing a busy intersection becomes exponentially more deadly the more lanes there are
