what amazes me is how people are measuring how humane killing someone would be

when you treat living beings like property, this is what happens. Most farmers view their animals as walking investments, nothing more. No wonder they would choose the cruelest methods available if it means a greater return on investment.

It must be the cheapest or cost efficient. Can’t be spending money if they don’t have to. Yet another reason to stop eating meat and dairy.
