My heart goes out to all freedom-loving people everywhere. Our rights are under attack globally although not everyone seems to realize it.

Realize and think you can change the outcome are different things. I think most of us are just trying to navigate the maze of shit, fuck and satanism to have a moment with our family here and there.

I really don’t understand these videos of people just watching officers commit crimes. Stop them. Use all necessary force.

I’ll do so, if I ever witness it. Let’s take it to court. Explain why the officers were violating judicial orders.

The day I see that shit happening in person is quite likely the day that I die. I will dive in like a feral animal with teeth and claws and blood and fury. I’ve wanted to die for my entire life. This way it would mean something.

Come find me fascist scum. Get what you get.

I don’t want to die anymore, but I’d gladly go down fighting to save someone from fascists. I will not go quietly into the night. If I die for this cause, so be it. May my death make me a martyr to my loved ones and inspire them to join the good fight.

I’m going to a protest next weekend and I’m expecting trouble and don’t care. I can’t sit idly by anymore. I’m not going to seek out or purposefully cause violence, however. I won’t be the aggressor, but I will defend those who are victims if I see injustice happening.

Yup. I think that’s the case for a lot of people right now. They created a world where so many people have so little to lose, and then decided to pick a fight with these folks.

It’s time to make these fascists fear us.

Talk is cheap, especially when you’re talking about what I’m sure they’ll describe as “assaulting a federal officer”.

Yep, that why we need to organize. Even if some people may act bravely, it will not enough.

We need to create the conditions of those action: spreading info on demo, teach ourselves our to react collectively, our to defend our fellow in front of justice, making solidarity funds, …

Yea, a lot of keyboard warriors talk a big game. Simply filming an officer is still fucking heroing, you are documenting brutality because the cops definitely won’t. I was toe to toe with the CPD in 2020, and it was fucking terrifying. I don’t blame anyone who doesn’t want to kill themselves for not jumping into the fray. Most of us stock shelves for christ sake, and I teach music to 10 year olds- we don’t know how to fight. Even if we did, knowing how to fight and ACTUALLY fighting are VERY different.

I was in Eastern Oregon for my cousin’s bachelor party, and we went to play volleyball at the park. In the court next to us, there was a beefcake skinhead tatted up with swastikas and all of his friends. At this point “punch a Nazi” kinda goes out the door when my 6’2" and 150 lb bean pole ass goes up against the MOST RIPPED NAZI I HAVE EVER SEEN. I just asked the guys to maybe go slackline in the forest instead.

If you feel like you need inspiration, you should read about Sophie Scholl and the white rose.

They are truly the most bad ass people I have ever read a story about.

I hope I never have to find out if I am that brave.

Did Trump declare martial law or a perpetual state of emergency yet? That’s supposed to be the big narrative signal that he’s suspending elections.

…of course I doubt they’ll be elections regardless, and there’ll be no way yo make sure they’re free and fair.

No. This was just LA telling ICE they can fuck off. The narrative here on Lemmy seems to be extra exaggerative.

It’s LA, though, so it could escalate. People are fucking pissed here in California. Trump is taking away our disaster aid, despite us paying more in taxes than we receive by a disgustingly large margin.

Something has to break, and Trump and the GOP is pressuring us as his biggest target. It genuinely feels overall like he’s waging a (mostly) silent war on us. ICE is the part that’s not silent, however, and people are starting to fight them in more places than LA and CA.

I’ve been telling people since before the election and especially after when he started creating discourse.

Martial law is one of the last steps of Project 2025 completely destroying America.

The national guard has been deployed. It is happening this week I am guessing, regardless of how peaceful or violent the protests are.

No, but that’s just around the corner. If the protesters can’t get their shit together and remain non-violent, this will be Trump’s Reichstag Fire.

Refusing to walk into a trap isn’t cowardice. It’s strategy.

Does that really matter? He can just say that the protests are violent, Fox News will report on the violence, and his cultists will believe it. Hell, they already believe that protest itself is a punishable offense, as do most American institutions.

Yes, it does. It will eventually have to be proven in court. That’s why the Alien Enemies Act was considered unjustified use, because the FBI did not support his claim that Venezuela was invading the US by sending violent criminals.

A right wing militia group started the violence in Minneapolis because the protest crowds weren’t doing it themselves. They torched the PD and cop cars. This was proven in court. Didn’t fucking matter, it was radical anarchists, and that is the narrative to this day. If a right wing group doesn’t do it, will just be a government agent provocateur. If this is proven in court, it won’t matter, it will be violent leftist protest, them antifas again.

It’s time to start/join a militia. More for getting organized than for fighting.
