TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A commercial rail route connecting China to Iran was formally brought into operation after the first Chinese cargo train unloaded in a dry port near Tehran.

This rail line cuts freight travel time from Shanghai to Tehran from 30 days by sea to just 15 days by land.
