My first sighting of a baby bird. This one is a young Dunnock who was happily preening itself in a shrub and wasn’t at all bothered by my presence on the footpath some 2.5m from the bird.

@[email protected] My first sighting of “new” birds" for 2025 was at the bush outside the master bathroom. A baby house finch was doing the “baby Jiggle” to dad, who was supplying a few bits, then flew away.
